Clubs to Host National Drug Facts Week Events

Clubs to Host National Drug Facts Week Events

January 27th – February 2nd, 2014

Boys & Girls Clubs across Colorado are hosting National Drug Facts Week events to shatter myths and highlight the dangers of teen drug abuse.
Drug abuse, and the myths surrounding drugs, is daily affecting the lives of Colorado youth and teens. BGCs are gathering Club youth, parents, families and community members to educate around and discuss this prevalent issue in our neighborhoods.
Topics to be addressed include tobacco cessation, prescription drug abuse, harmful effects of illegal street drugs, and ramifications of marijuana legalization on Colorado teens.
Boys & Girls Clubs, connecting with The Colorado Meth Project, their teen-centered Rise Above Colorado and the National Institute on Drug Abuse National Drug Facts Week and through funding from the Colorado Attorney General’s Prescription Drug Abuse Initiative, are hosting impactful, informative and youth-centered events in your community.
