About Us

Our Mission

To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Our Mission Statement

The Colorado Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs is a registered 501-c-4 non-profit corporation, governed by it's approved bylaws and the IRS.

It's leadership includes the incorporating Board of Directors and Officers elected by the membership.

The Alliance membership includes the chief professional officers of all Boys & Girls Clubs of America chartered organizations, and military partners, in the state of Colorado

The purpose and function of the Alliance is to secure funding from the a variety of sources through out the state including government, corporations and individuals. The staff of the Alliance organizations meets monthly to collaborate and share ideas and the Alliance Board will meet six times a year.

Minimum expectations of members are to attend at least 75% of all meetings, to participate and support the State Youth of the Year program, to pay Alliance dues in a timely fashion, and to participate in the legislative process if and how needed.

The Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals; life enhancing programs; character development experiences; and, hope and opportunity.

In studies sponsored by the Carnegie Corporation and Columbia University, young people participating in Boys & Girls Clubs showed the following results:

  • 15% overall higher grade point average
  • 87% fewer school absences
  • 81% increase in homework completion
  • 22% reduction in drug activity
  • 13% reduction in juvenile crime
