Youth of the Year

Announcing the 2016 Colorado Youth of the Year

Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs of America's premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club teens. Club members who earn the youth of the Year title embody the values of leadership service; academic excellence; and healthy lifestyles. They exemplify the critical impact that Boys Girls Clubs have on the lives of young people. Clayton and Ernesto will represent Colorado at the regional competition in Texas this summer and hopefully move on to the national
competition in Washington DC in September.

Not only does he play multiple instruments, including the guitar, drums, and the ukulele, he rebuilds and restores old guitars to their former glory. Clayton has been accepted to the University of Northern Colorado and is ready use his talents and leadership skills to launch into a great future.
